The Energy Efficient certificate is given by us when products are in fact part of the energy saving category. These products have higher efficacy lamps that reduce the consumption of energy while still providing a significant lumen output. This rating also applies to ceiling fans because generally speaking, they help in the conservation of energy. Since ceiling fans are used to cool rooms without having to run the air conditioning, it is fair to say that they are energy efficient. However, this efficiency is not to be confused with Energy Star. These products are labeled as [Energy Efficient] because they have not received the Energy Star certification given by the government.
