Innova Switch Buying Guide

Innova Heating Co. is proud to offer simple controls that gives you the ability to control the comfort level of your space with the flip of a switch. All Innova Heaters come with two heating elements and the duplex switches are the perfect solution to give you the ability to optimize the infrared heatwaves emitted from the heaters. The duplex switches give you the option to operate each heating element on and off independently, ultimately giving you a high low control over your heaters.

Important: Prior to ordering your switch, please review the wiring diagram below to confirm your existing wiring set up is compatible.

Duplex switches are a 3-wire application

• Red Wire (L1): brings power from Circuit breaker to the switch
  Output A1: connects to BLACK lead wire in heater
  Output B1: connects to other BLACK lead wire in heater
• Neutral Wire (L2): Connects directly to both RED lead wires in heater
• Ground: Connects directly to RED lead wires in the heater

*An electrician should be consulted if you are unsure of the wiring polarity. Do not use to replace a switch that had been controlling a light with only two wires present.*

Note: Replace Neutral with L2 for 120 & 277 VAC Applications.

• Two Single Pole Single Throw Switches
• Range: 120/277 VAC
• Recommended not to Exceed 120 VAC = 1800 Watts Max-Per Switch
• 208/220 VAC = 3000 Watts Max-Per Switch
• 240/277 VAC = 4000 Watts Max-Per Switch
• 20 Amps Max-Per Pole

Now that you have confirmed with your electrician you have the proper wiring available, look at the different options available. The Duplex switches are available for both indoor and outdoor installation settings. When analyzing your space take into consideration where the switch will be installed and be sure to order the switch that is suitable for that type of installation setting.

The Standard

Choose this switch if you will be installing your switches in an indoor setting or under a protective cover in an outdoor setting. This switch needs to be free from direct rain exposure, if you will be installing where potential rain will contact the switch, please order the weatherproof option instead.
